A normal day with Elena

Mira is pretty bored since she doesn't have a roommate anymore.
She has many hobbies which she can do alone.
But she spent almost all of her remaining time with Nera.

So today Mira decides to spend some more time with Elena instead. She enters her room and finds Elena being busy.

What are you doing?

Oh, nothing special. I'm just cleaning up.

Wanna do some training together?

You know I'm not a good fighter. But you don't have Nera anymore, so...
But if I agree you have to accompany me later.
We're running out of fruits, so we have to get new ones.

Okay, sounds fair.
I almost never got fruits myself.
I never thought about who always brings new ones.
But it must be you or Kaya.

Normally it's Kaya, but when she's not there for a longer time, it's normally me.
It's nice how easy it is to find fruits here.

Easy? The next forest is hundreds of meters away from home.

I still remember my life in the mountains. There are many places where fruits can't grow.
So we were happy if we had fruits at all and didn't always have to eat each other.
Here it's fortunately different. Wherever you go, there are always furit trees somewhere.

Elena stops cleaning up and immediately follows Mira, who already left the room again.

Soon they are standing on the meadow, facing each other.

Uhm..., now I'm getting scared. You know I normally don't fight.

I guess you're at an advantage. When standing directly in front of me, our hight difference is getting more obvious.

Mira runs into Elena and grabs her waist.
Being smaller she tries to lift her above herself. If Elena loses grip to the ground, Mira will have total control over her.
But despite Elena being rather slim, it's too difficult for her.

Instead Elena bends over Mira, grabs her belly, and lifts her up, turning her upside down in the process.
Then Elena lets Mira fall to the ground.

Mira is standing on her hands now. She tries to walk back, but Elena pushes her and makes her fall to the ground.

Hey, you were fighting unfair.

Did I violate any rules?

No, but anyway.

In that case, I won rightfully.

Okay, I just tried to fight differently because of your size. I made a mistake.

So since I won, you'll have to carry the fruits, okay?

Mira gets up and they walk along the meadow.
The next forest is already visible.
It's not really a forest, but a bunch of small trees.

I'm first!

Mira starts running and seems to have fun.

Hey, what are you doing? No need to hurry!

She still runs after Mira until they reach the trees.

You know what to do now, don't you?

I don't remember ever getting fruits myself, but I guess I have to climb up.

Mira is already climbing up.

Mira is already at the top of the tree.

Sure, the shell is hard enough and the meadow should also dampen their fall.

Mira picks a fruit and then throws it down.
She repeats it a few times until the tallest ones are lying on the ground.
She doesn't take the smaller fruits, the ones smaller than her head.

Then she just jumps down again.

Mira slowly gets up and walks a few steps.

I'm still fine. It just hurts a bit.

Mira grabs some of the fruits.

I guess it's too much for me alone. Can you also carry some?

Sure. You already got the fruits down. That's usually the most difficult task anyway.

Elena also picks up some fruits and they start to walk back home.
It's not that far after all.

Mira looks at the distance, where a pretty huge tree is standing.

Why didn't we go to the huge tree to get some fruits?
They must be much bigger. I guess I'd fit into the shell.

No, bigger trees don't have bigger fruits.
Besides that, this is a different tree. It doesn't even have fruits.

Why doesn't it have fruits?

Because I planted it. And I'm not good at planting trees.

Oh, but at least it's huge.

Hah, sure...

Elena is just joking.
She wonders if Mira even got that.

I'd still like to go there once.

You've never been there?

I don't think so. I always see it in the distance when training, but I never thought much about it. It was just there, being part of the scenery.

We'll go there one day. I promise.
Even if it will probably be a boring trip.

After a while they reach home and put the fruits in the kitchen.

So I'm going to make some food from the fruits we got.
Will you help me with cooking again?
The last time it was a lot of fun, wasn't it?

Then Elena already starts cutting one of the fruits open.

Okay. I normally add things which you normally wouldn't eat.

I've tried all kinds of dirt.
Grass, bark or other kinds of plant parts. Even soil.
Or my own body fluids. Spit, pee, poop, vomit.
But most of that just makes it worse.

That's gross.

Nera also was able to make everything taste good.

Yeah, I remember. I think I've heard her talk about some of the ingredients and Kaya raving about her piss.

Yeah, Kaya never knew about the other ingredients, though. She probably wouldn't have eaten it if she knew.

Mira laughs.

Would you like to add some ingredients, too?

Uhm, no. It's your turn today. I want to be surprised.

But I want a little challenge. Add something, and I'll try to make it taste good.

Okay, but don't look.

I'll leave the room.

Elena leaves.
The cut fruit is already put into a pot.

So Mira just unpacks her ass and shits into it.
Then she stirs it properly, so it's not recognizable anymore.

Mira gets dressed again and calls Elena to come back.

Mira smiles at Elena as she leaves the room.

Then she sits down on the couch in the livingroom and relaxes until Elena comes back with the food.

Soon they eat, and when they finished eating, Mira pats her belly.

It really was delicious. What special ingredient did you put in? Or did you put in more?

Blood is usually pretty good.
It's pretty close to meat when you prepare it properly, but nobody needs to be sacrificed or has to live without an arm for some months or years.

Yeah, sounds like a good compromise.
I really have to try it one day.

And something that works well, too, is letting it sit for some time before eating.
And I'm talking about several days.
It normally tastes sour.
And when letting a mush seat before baking, it might even become fluffy.

I've been pretty creative with Nera in all these centuries. I didn't like cooking, but when I did, maybe a few times per year, I normally tried something new, something experimental.

I think I learned more about you today than in the whole time we know each other.
